On 8^th March 2019 in Banja Luka the Steering Board of the Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance has adopted the Amendments to the Decision on Norms for Determining Minimum Standards in the Higher Education Area. 
The adoption of this document unblocked the process of accreditation and appointment of expert panels which were awaited for almost a year.

As a reminder there are six higher education institutions in the reaccreditation process in the Republic of Srpska, number that includes two public universities.

Director of the Agency, Biljana Vojvodic PhD was guest in the show "Aktuelno" on BH Radio 1 on the 7^th March 2019.

The re-accreditation process is important for recognizing national diplomas in international scope and 31^st March 2019 is the deadline, given by the European Union Delegation in BiH, for finishing process.

Message from Republic of Srpska to Halilovic is that his refusal of cooperation will not only affect Republic of Srpska.

Head of Delegation and EU Special Representative in BiH Lars-Gunar Vigemark called for a joint meeting with director of the Higher Education Accreditation Agency of the Republic of Srpska Biljana Vojvodic PhD, and the director of the Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance professor Enver Halilovic PhD.

The meeting was held on the 28^th February 2019 in the premises of the Delegation of the European Union in Banja Luka. The meeting was about the situation of higher education institutions in the process of re-accreditation, considering their suitability for participation in ERASMUS + programs, as well as ways to overcome the situation.  

It was agreed that the maximum efforts of both agencies should be invested in order to complete the re-accreditation process by the 31^st March 2019 which is the deadline given by the European Commission for the re-accreditation procedures to be completed and the institutions are registered in the register of accredited higher education institutions in BiH. In this regard, the European Union Delegation expressed its readiness to provide all possible support for the achievement of a common goal.
